根據日前《Vogue》釋出之報導，Metropolitan Museum of Art New York 的 Costume Institute 正式宣佈來年的Met Gala將以宗教為主題，命名為：“Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination”。這個主題給予大家一個機會，欣賞時裝設計師們以宗教為靈感所作的設計。
#1 是次Met Gala將會展出50個以上從梵蒂岡借來的教會服裝和配件，以及Met. Museum館藏的宗教藝術作品，另有150件由時裝設計師以宗教作設計靈感之作品參展，當中包括最具代表性的 Versace和Dolce & Gabbana、以至讓人意想不到的Chanel婚紗、Cristóbal Balenciaga、Valeninto、Chrstian Dior的高訂設計等等。

筆者相信這將會是Met Gala舉辦以來最盛大、也是就主題而言，最具挑釁性的宴會。本身宗教這個話題已是極具爭議性，負責及創辦人 Andrew Bolton 亦指出西方國家的宗教亦有分保守派和右派；這定必會引來不少有關政治的話題。有見及此，他已經與不同宗教團體的代表進行過磋商，以確定哪些設計可能會製造煽動性的話題。不過，肯定的是，他沒有因為逃避這些議題而剔走任何一件展品，因為大家不要忘記，Met Gala的重點是以欣賞的角度對待藝術、時裝及宗教三者之間的聯繫。

#3 有關Met Gala 2018最矚目的重點，不少得是伴Anna Wintour一同作主持的人選：包括Rihanna、Amal Clooney和Donatella Versace。除了Amal只於2015年出席過Met Gala，Rihanna及Donatella都是宴會的常客，前者出席過7次，為大家帶來不少印象深刻的造型亮相晚會；而後者更出席過16次，也是今年的贊助單位之一。

每年的Met Gala可算是時裝圈最矚目、最重大的盛事，一眾設計師、明星的熱烈參與，更有單位踴躍贊助，在此我們能看見的是大家都為時裝出了一分力，哪怕只是亮相於此。時裝的力量，原來可以這樣團結，一起對Met Gala 2018引頸以待吧！
